Ethical Challenges Faced by the Healthcare Workers to Provide Health Service during COVID-19 Pandemic

Background: Managerial, administrative, and disease-related issues during COVID-19 pressurized the healthcare workers challenged their ethical practice. This study attempted to shed light on challenges faced by pandemic at B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS). Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional using convenience sampling was conducted among 108 registered doctors nurses working in BPKIHS. Data were collected pretested, self-designed semi-structured online questionnaires analyzed descriptive statistics. Results: Majority (78.7%) respondents feared contracting disease while caring for patient. Nearly 30% reported that they had frequently work with inadequate protective measures. Fifty-four percent sometimes continue suspected symptoms due shortage manpower. Almost half (49.1%) prioritize care patients resources. Most (72%) never force COVID positive patient hospital admission. Around 20% disclose status without consent. 14% refused patients. More than (55.6%) felt did not receive holistic care.
